I’m Cara. A 30 something mom, recipe googler, baby product overobsesser, and spiritjunkie wannabe. Since I became a mom a year and a half ago I realized that we are a whole new generation of moms. We grew up with Biggie, Tu-Pac, and Back Street Boys, had posters of Jonathan Taylor Thomas on our bedroom walls, have lived through tragedies like 9/11 and witnessed the birth of the iphone. We spent our summers chasing bands like OAR finding spots to pee in the woods. None before us compare and neither will be any moms after us.
Without a doubt, leaving life as we know it and becoming mom isn’t always a smooth transition. I have learned it’s more of an evolution. Being a mom doesn’t change who you are it adds to it. Just as fast as our babies are growing and learning we are too. Not all lessons are easy, but they are worth it and what makes this experience so beautiful. I also learned that you don’t have to have a pair of “mom jeans” and buy a mini van just because you can now write MOM after your name.
If you can relate to any of this and also had a Chumbawumba and Hason cd, you are in the right place my friend. My hope is that this site provides you with the connection you are looking for, maybe some ideas that make your life just a little easier, and reminds you that you are doing an awesome job being the mom you are. We are all in this together are going to raise some beautiful humans.
